Expressions of Scotland
FROM THE ARCHIVES… TASK (To Aid Sick Kids)
The Expressions of Scotland was a private project conducted in conjunction with the Royal Hospital Sick Kids Appeal. For 2 years, between 1994 and 1996 I travelled all over the UK to photography famous Scots from all walks of life, Sport, TV, Music, Business etc. All the images were shot at the sitters own homes or place of work and all proceeds of the sale of images from the final exhibition. One of the interesting aspects of the project was my limitation I placed on myself to shoot everything, or at least as much as possible, with natural light. Only in a couple of occasions did I have to resort to a single flash light to complete the job.
